Who are we?

Hi, we’re Lizzard and Laurakeet (Liz Henry and Laura Henry), and we love hot baths with fancy bath products. As the Whores of Bath, we promote relaxation, stress relief, self-care, and fun for bath lovers everywhere. We would like to review your bath products!

Why the name?

It’s a reference to the Wife of Bath in the Canterbury Tales and is just meant to be funny.

Are you actually whores?
No, we are not sex workers, we are just using the term “whore” in the same way as “blog whore” or “attention whore”. There are problems with reclaiming any derogatory term like “bitch” or “slut” and that is why we are explaining our intent here in the FAQ. We would not want to be called whores in a derogatory way even if we ARE writing a blog just to see if it can make us some extra coffee money in ads and referrals. How come that header photo is so awesome?
Well, we were at the BlogHer conference in 2006, and got a little bit tipsy, and jumped into the hotel swimming pool in our ball gowns. Nonprofit social media guru Beth Kanter took the photo!
